David Ishag is based in London and provides clients with European representation. Between 1999 and 2002 he opened the European office of idealab!, an early stage transatlantic incubator. The office produced a 700% ROI in a highly volatile market.
Prior to joining idealab!, between 1997 and 1999, Mr. Ishag was a partner at Knowledge Universe, a private equity fund established by Michael Milken and Larry Ellison.
Between 1993 and 1996 Mr. Ishag served as COO and CFO of Capella Films, Inc., a feature film development, production, sales and distribution company. Capella produced films such as Carlito's Way with Al Pacino, The Shadow with Alec Baldwin, and Shattered with Bob Hoskins.
Mr. Ishag moved to Los Angeles in 1989 where he established Hamilton Grey, Inc., a financial advisory firm focused on small cap companies, where he negotiated and executed transactions with a combined value of $1.5 billion.
From 1984 to 1989, Mr. Ishag co-led the leveraged buyout and subsequent management of Sabre, Gillette's surgical instruments division.
Mr. Ishag received a Law degree from the London School of Economics and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
